Dear students,
according to the Decree of the President of the Council of Ministers, relating to the measures concerning the contrast and containment throughout the national territory of the spread of Coronavirus, Ashtanga San Saba will remain open but with new rules for course attendance.

To improve the distribution of students (max 8 in shala), we extend the compulsory reservation, already necessary for morning lessons, to both Guided and Advanced practice sessions on Tuesday and Thursday afternoon, usually more crowded times.

Therefore, the lesson must be booked with an sms, WA message, at 335 7714034, or email to info@ashtanga-sansaba.it the day before the lesson you intend to attend.
Your booking will be confirmed the day before within 8:00 pm.

For Mysore students, considering that in the afternoon the school is open for three hours, there will be two sessions to register for:
– at 5:30 pm (aprox ending at 7:00 pm ) and
– at 7:00 pm (aprox ending at 8:30 pm).
While the led class will be at the 7:00 pm.

In any case, no more than 8 students will be admitted together in shala.

Ashtanga San Saba also asks all of you practitioners not to come to school if:

– flu or cold and cough symptoms were felt;
– whether recent trips have been made to areas of higher risk;
– if we believe we have had contact with people from these areas.

and to comply with the health and hygiene rules specified in Annex 1 of the aforementioned Decree and with the normal rules of common sense.

MYSORE: Mysore lessons are for advanced students or students who already know the sequence. You start and end your practice within the given time frame.

LED CLASS: Led Classes are for absolute beginners who have never practiced this discipline before or who don’t know the sequence. Led classes last about 1 hour and 15 minutes.
The first trial lesson is free, how to find us.

ENGLISH SPEAKING TEACHERS

For beginners

Beginners of Ashtanga Yoga will start with a teacher-led lesson. The teacher tells you
what to do and talks you through the sequence. After some time, you will have
learned the sequence by heart and will be able to perform it independently (Mysore Practice). The teacher will be present at all times to support, adjust and guide you. The teacher will also assign you to new postures if he sees your practice to be fit for it.

Regular practice is recommended. You should start off your practice twice a week. After time, when you and your body are used to practicing Ashtanga you can increase your practice.

We recommend comfortable clothing, you need a towel for personal use and a yoga mat (no worries, for your first training we will give you one). Ashtanga is practiced barefootedly on an empty stomach (don’t eat anything at least 4 hours before you start practicing). We also recommend leaving your jewellery at home and not using perfume before the practice.
